STREETS
Street upon street, town upon town,
Facing an economy that’s spiralling down,
Face upon on face, race upon race,
Facing a morality that is now debased.
Political recitals, political recitals, Contradicted by societies reprisals, Political confrontations, rhetorical insinuations, Thrown at the feet of this suffering population.
What is the same, it’s those with no shame,
All these years and who do they blame,
Twockers galore, robbers are more,
Desperately depraved cause jobs are no more.
Yet society abhors, politicians deplore,
But, who is it who hath closed the door.
Lie upon lie, sigh upon sigh,
Facing those who endeavour to comply.
Promise upon promise, word upon word,
Facing those whose cries are not heard,
Partisan politicians, ponderously palliate,
As their rhetorical pestilence society it adulterates.
What is the same, it's those with no shame!
